Privacy Policy
Valdivia Events ("we", "us") promotes bailes, jaripeos and concerts. This policy explains what information we collect through valdivia.events, our sign-up forms, our email and text messages and our social media pages, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- When you join our list: your name, email address and, if you choose to give it, your mobile phone number and whether you agreed to receive text messages.
- When you ask about sponsorships: your name, company, email, phone, budget range and message.
- When you buy tickets: purchases happen on our ticketing partners (such as EventMania and Ticketon), under their own privacy policies. They share order details with us as the event organizer, such as your name, email, phone, zip code, the shows you bought for and what you paid. We never receive your full card number.
- When you visit the site: basic technical and usage information such as pages viewed, links clicked (for example "Tickets"), the site that referred you, device and browser type and approximate location from your IP address. This is collected with cookies and similar tools from Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Cloudflare.
How we use it
- To tell you about upcoming shows, presales, lineups and VIP tables, by email and, only if you opted in, by text.
- To show you event ads on Facebook and Instagram, including ads for shows in your area.
- To respond to sponsorship and contact requests.
- To understand which shows, posts and ads people are interested in, and to improve the site.
- To run the site securely and meet legal obligations.
Text messages
If you check the text message box when you sign up, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts from Valdivia Events about events, presales and offers at the number you gave. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help.
We do not share or sell your mobile phone number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messages are sent through our messaging provider only to deliver the messages you asked for.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run our tools for us: Laylo (sign-ups, email and text messages), Tally (sponsor form), Brevo (email), Cloudflare (hosting and security), Google (analytics) and Meta (advertising and analytics). They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Our family of promoters (Valdivia Marketing Group, Valdivia Entertainment and EV Entertainment) when you're interested in a show they present.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our guests or the public.
Using Meta's advertising tools to show you ads based on your activity on our site may count as "sharing" under California law. You can opt out at any time, as described below.
Your choices
- Emails: click "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email.
- Texts: reply STOP.
- Ads and tracking: you can block cookies in your browser settings, adjust ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of sharing for advertising.
- Access, correction or deletion: email us and we'll respond within 45 days.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and share; to ask us to delete or correct it; to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information; to limit the use of sensitive information; and not to be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, email sales@valdivia.events with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. You may use an authorized agent.
Keeping it safe and how long we keep it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and limit access to the people who need it. We keep it while you're on our list or while it's useful for the purposes above, and delete or anonymize it when it no longer is.
Children
Our site and messages are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
